Sandwich Sessions | Meet Etsy

KindredHQ is proud to be teaming up with Etsy and Winkley Studios for a crafty lunchtime talk from the Etsy team.

The event will be on Thursday 23rd January from 1pm – 2pm.

We love a good dose of inspirational storytelling, and Etsy has loads of great examples of people who’ve started small and turned their craft into successful businesses.

They’ve got plenty of practical advice too, from honing your Etsy shop to marketing and PR and tips for turning your customers into fans.

There’ll be plenty of time for questions and to meet other free spirits – you never know, you might even find someone to swop skills and experience with!

All this takes place at beautiful Winkley Studios in Bethnal Green. It’s completely free to bring lunch, join our talk, and you are very welcome to stay for an afternoon of co-working with other freelancers and independent businesses.  All that we ask is that you register your attendance here so that we know how many to expect.

Sandwich Sessions from KindredHQ:

By popular demand, we’ve introduced a brand new lunchtime event for KindredHQ members. Our new Sandwich sessions are an opportunity for members to learn something completely new, for free – in an hour, over lunch.

The idea is simple. You bring your own lunch, and settle in for an hour of inspiration and shared experience. You might be learning how to manage your WordPress blog, or set up your email marketing campaign, run Google analytics or develop your business model.

Hey, you can even offer to run a session too!

KindredHQ’s fabulous freelance community here

Who is Alex Butler

Hello, I'm Alex Butler and I founded the KindredHQ community and blog back in 2011 after I re-started a freelance career. I LOVE freelancing and I wouldn't swop the freedom, control and joy of working for myself for anything. But I realised how much I missed the company and energy of other people - of having a team around me. So, I got a few people together one day with our laptops, a jar of coffee and some jelly babies and we sat and worked together one afternoon. We've been doing that every week in London, UK since then! I am still 100% freelance and I like to share the everyday highs and lows of being a freelancer here on the blog.
